RUSSELL Taylor Holdings Ltd, the Wirral-headquartered engineering, construction and logistics recruiter, has acquired Cheshire recruitment firm Perpetual Partnerships.

The investment by the business - earlier this year named as the UK’s fastest growing privately-owned recruitment company – will see a targeted growth plan for Perpetual Partnerships and look to create 15 new jobs at its Knutsford-based workforce.

Ben Russell, chief executive at Russell Taylor Holdings Ltd, said: “There will be no changes to the day-to-day operations with all employees, senior management and clients.

“This is another exciting move for our expanding group of companies with the growth potential of Perpetual Partnerships making it an important part of our group’s position as a major force in the technical recruitment industry.”

Perpetual Partnerships, the recruitment arm of the Cygnet Group, an engineering business with headquarters in Northwich, works in a number of recruitment sectors, providing mainly high level placements in sectors including manufacturing, IT and architectural.

With a £2 million turnover, the business currently employs 13 staff. Managing director Garry Rogerson, who is also a shareholder, will continue to head up the operation.

Garry said: “This is the beginning of a new chapter for the business and one that the whole team is looking forward to. We have had an excellent foundation over the last nine years under the Cygnet Group banner and being part of Russell Taylor Holdings Ltd now marks our next phase of growth.

“We have a fantastic new office in Knutsford which is geared to accommodate up to 60 people so we are in prime position to continue our expansion plans. The cultural fit with Russell Taylor Holdings Ltd is also perfect so we look forward to a very long and successful future together.”

Ben added: “Both Cygnet Group and Russell Taylor Holdings Ltd see the acquisition as an important step forward for Perpetual Partnerships and its employees as the synergy between our two businesses means we can create new opportunities and build on existing strong relationships with our employers and job seekers.

“We also share a common set of goals - operating as a business with strong family values where people really matter, where staff are trained, developed and supported and where hard work brings great rewards.”

Russell Taylor Holdings Ltd has subsidiary companies of Russell Taylor Group, Recruit Right, Nexus People, NMS Recruit and Assist Resourcing, spanning sectors covering engineering, construction, industrial, commercial, transport, logistics and distribution.

The group employs around 457 staff and in 2018 had revenue of more than £113million.

Ben added: “The past couple of years have undoubtedly been the most challenging in our history yet we have constantly stuck to our ideals centred on everything we believe in as a family-run business with our roots firmly in the North West.

“From day one when there was just me, my father Peter and wife Claire working out of a spare room at home, our vision of running a reputable recruitment company giving unrivalled service, staffed by a happy and fulfilled workforce and committed to the local community, has never wavered.

“We are all delighted that Perpetual Partnerships is joining our ‘family’ which, although now a major performer on a national and international stage, still holds fast to its core values.”
