Role: -Manufacturing Engineer
Type & Hours: - Full Time, Permanent Mon-Thurs 8.30-4pm & Friday 8am-1.30pm
Location: - Rhuddlan-North Wales
Salary: - Competitive salary (DOE)

Russell Taylor Group are looking for an experienced and proactive Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve mechanical assembly operations. This role focuses on optimising processes, increasing efficiency, and ensuring consistently high-quality output across the production facility.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and optimise mechanical assembly processes
• Lead lean manufacturing initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma)
• Troubleshoot assembly line issues to reduce downtime
• Collaborate with Design, R&D, Quality, and Maintenance teams
• Improve product manufacturability and assembly methods
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 45001)
• Create and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation
• Identify opportunities for automation and Industry 4.0 technology
• Analyse KPIs and production data to drive improvement
• Support preventative maintenance planning
• Train and support production operators

The Person
• Educated to degree level in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
• Experience in mechanical assembly manufacturing in either automotive, aerospace, machinery, medical or consumer goods
• Knowledge in lean manufacturing and six sigma (Green Belt desirable)
• Skilled in CAD tools (AutoCad or SolidWorks)
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong knowledge of assembly line balancing and/or ergonomics.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work
