Role: NDT Inspector- PCN Level 2 Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
Salary: - £55-60,000 per annum
Location: North Wales- onsite work and local work around Northwest of England
Type: -Full time- Permanent

Russell Taylor Group are working with a leading provider of non-destructive testing & inspection company who operate their services across the UK supporting a wider range of industries.
They are seeking an experienced Technician who has a minimum PCN Level 2 UT, any further qualifications are a bonus.
This is a local, site-based role, working predominantly across the Northwest of England. The position will involve regular travel to client sites within the region; however, this is not a nationwide or offshore travel role. Occasional work outside the area may be required depending on project demand.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform Ultrasonic Testing inspections in accordance with PCN Level 2 certification.
• Conduct flaw detection, thickness measurement and weld inspection
• Interpret and evaluate results in line with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.
• Produce accurate and technically compliant inspection reports.
• Review drawings, weld procedures, and client work scopes prior to inspection.
• Liaise with operations and HSQ teams to ensure work is delivered safely and efficiently.
• Carry out site risk assessments and comply with company and client safety procedures.
• Maintain and check UT equipment, ensuring calibration compliance.
• Provide technical feedback to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Support additional NDT activities where required.

The Person
• Minimum of PCN Level 2 UT
• Demonstrable experience performing Ultrasonic Testing in industrial environments.
• Strong weld inspection and flaw interpretation capability.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and weld procedures.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards (e.g., BS EN ISO).
• Full UK driving licence
• High attention to detail and quality standards.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Willingness to develop further NDT certifications and skills
• Flexible regarding regional travel and overtime where required
