Job Description

Russell Taylor Group are currently working with a key client who specialise in fully integrated infrastructure solutions by providing operations and energy management solutions and engineering services to clients within highly regulated industries. Due to continual expansion and growth, they are now looking for an Electro-Mechanical Technician with a commitment to delivering excellence and improvements in electro-mechanical maintenance, to join their multi-disciplinary engineering team.

The role:

  • To be aware of and work within company Health Safety and Environment and Quality systems
  • Environmental reporting of incidents to line management
  • Fault finding on an extensive range of biomass electrical/mechanical equipment
  • Carry out Root Cause Analysis and investigating recurring faults and engineering solutions
  • Carrying out PPMs
  • Identification and purchase of essential maintenance spares
  • Preparing procedures and risk assessment for maintenance tasks
  • Planning and carrying out improvement projects
  • Supervision of maintenance sub-contractors
  • Carry out other reasonable tasks and duties as requested by management
  • Work on all the sites Mechanical/Electrical assets including pumps, motors, compressors, ORC turbine, moving grate thermal boiler and materials handling plants
  • You will accurately record maintenance using a CMMS to help plan future maintenance activities
  • Assist in creating an effective planned maintenance systems
  • Work on a call out rota to respond to site out of hours during emergencies and work occasional weekends during planned outages
  • Stock control of site maintenance and spares
  • Accurately record maintenance using a CMMS to help plan future maintenance activities

Person specification:

  • Proven experience in a maintenance on a utilities plant or similar heavy industries (essential)
  • Experience within a heavy industrial process environment i.e. W2E, power station, chemical, O&G, petrochemical or marine engineering (essential)
  • ONC/NVQ Level 3 OR City & Guilds qualified or similar (essential)
