Uphold the project values and promote a collaborative working environment with internal customers such as Engineering, Materials Management, Procurement, Commercial Management, Project Controls, MIT, CEIDRE, Logistics, and Asset Management functions.
Be a representative of the NNB (nuclear new build) Expediting team at internal and external meetings.
Perform Expediting visits on behalf of NNB at manufacturers premises, and act safely and professionally at all times.
Scoping, structuring or making the best use of existing performance metrics and KPIs for monitoring supplier performance and schedule risk.
Follow-up the Contract Partner's deliverable documentation where it is likely to impact a Delivery Package Release note (DPRN), the manufacturing schedule and/or the equipment site delivery.
To prepare for and if necessary, host regular Expediting Status Review meetings (ESR) with the project management teams.
Managing the priorities in the factory with the agreement of the NNB Project Manager, proposing recommendations in order to optimize the organisation or the workflow in the factory.
Follow-up, prioritisation and expediting manufacturing NCRs and their timely resolution (this may include Expediting Contract Partners, EDVANCE Engineering and NNB Manufacturing surveillance entities)
Bringing support to the Contract Partner to ensure that Follow Up Document (FUD) Inspection points are well managed / communicated and attended by project attendees.
Reporting regularly (on a weekly and monthly basis) to the Expediting Team, the Project Manager and the Programme MDT.
Issuance of Expediting Visit Reports to the Project team after factory Expediting visits are performed.
To keep sufficient records of order progress, supplier performance and associated delays etc. to provide the Commercial and Project Management team with recommendations for Liquidated Damages claims and/or back charges
Regular and accurate updating of information held against contracts within the Expediting Highlights Tracker or the dedicated expediting tracking tools (in development at time of writing).
Propose improvement of the Expediting tracking tool following feedback and specific needs during the course of the project.
Alerting the Project Manager on all issues that could have any significant impact on cost and schedule
Working with the Contract Partner and other parties in the design and implementation of recovery plans as required recover the completion and delivery of Equipment or mitigate further delay to the manufacturing schedule.
Consolidation of information for the Shipment Authorisation Process (SAR), and liaison with Project Manager and Manufacturer to ensure delivery/shipping can proceed.
Liaison with HPC site team in the event of a receipt problem, or an item being returned to the supply chain for repair or replacement.
