Health and Safety Advisor
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + Car / Allowance + Company Benefits
I have an exciting position for a Health and Safety Advisor to join a North West leading main contractor. The contractor specialises in large high rise residential schemes varying in value from £20m - £100m.
Due to a number of new large developments they have an opening for a Health and Safety Advisor has become available. The role consists of advising Health, safety and the environment for the organisation on site and in the offices. The role will require regular nationwide travel to side (averaging 3 days per week). You will be required to prepare and issue general health and safety information in the form of health and safety information memos to relevant members of staff. Support management and operatives at all levels in their efforts to improve health, safety and environmental performance and set a good personal example.
You will be expected to create a positive health and safety culture within the organisation as well as assist and advise management at all levels with the preparation, implementation and where necessary, review of the health and safety policy. Also, ensure you are fully conversant with current health and safety legislation, codes of practice and guidance information to ensure the health, safety and welfare of all the Company's employees, sub- contractors and persons who may be affected by the Company's activities.
Knowledge, skills and experience required:
- Requiring education/ qualifications to a level of NVQ 3, 'A' Level, HNC, or equivalent qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Strong time management skills
- Basic computer knowledge
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
In return you will receive a salary of £30,000 - £35,000 plus car/ allowance and company benefits.
