Production Planning Coordinator (Manufacturing)

£25,000 per annum

Permanent position to start ASAP.

Our client in the Runcorn area is looking for an ambitious, career hungry person who wants to work for a global manufacturing company that promises continued career development. You will be responsible for the organisation of materials flow within the company. Develop the upstream flows with external and inter-group suppliers, in order to improve supplier performance. On availability, set and release suppliers forecast and manage logistic terms and conditions. Ensure the update, quality, and consistency of key parameters of supply and stock management - Replenishment Lead Time, Quantity, frequency, Stocking policy, etc…
Responsibility to input and update supply and stock management data. Ensure availability of raw material, components, sub-assemblies and finished products, by managing customer needs - right first time! Ensure Finished Goods product availability, through effective production planning.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Be:

Fully exploit capability of MRP - Stock Control.
Responsible for purchasing activity (Production or non-Production) for given commodities and responsible for production purchasing performance of the plant.
Lead and improve suppliers' performance i.e., service level, lead time and lot size.
Improve RM stock accuracy (Inbound & stock control for site).
Communicate potential Quality & Logistic risks coming from supplier market.
Fully exploit capability of MRP - Production and Stock Control.
Improve Inbound product / Raw Material stock accuracy across site.
Key player in Production Planning Process based on material and labour
availability. Define procedures to ensure effective planning.
Liaise with Production Team Leaders regarding plan adherence and proactively act on late and remake orders, to deliver in a timely manner.
Key Projects, as defined.

Your Main Tasks Will Be:

Organise and optimise the procurement of raw materials & components with our Suppliers, by following our clients' policies and procedures - Including logistic solutions, batch size, lead time, packaging, etc...
Where applicable, be responsible for administering and forwarding supplier forecasts and their accuracy.
Monitor and improve the upstream SC performance, at plant level.
Foster and maintain good relationships with suppliers.
Improve performance of external and inter-group suppliers, whilst providing feedback through KPI's (Delivery performance). Escalate quality issues to the Quality Manager
Supplier Critical Issues to be escalated to the Planning & Plant Manager.
Define and establish supplier management rules, disengagement process, supplieraudit process, Logistics Terms and Conditions etc…
Analysis & Elimination of Unhealthy (Dead) RM stock and prevent reoccurrence - apply relevant rules. Provide KPI data, as necessary.
Liaise with Commercial teams to anticipate forthcoming orders and forecast.
Define, input and update data into MRP, to ensure effective supply and stock Management (according to the clients stocking policy and customer requirement), to achieve the target Service level (OTIF).
Item Master, BOM's, Colour, Lines
In liaison with Production Manager, define production capacity, by cell.
Generate production plans by cell (daily, weekly, monthly), based on customer orders, stock replenishment, remakes, backlog, and samples. Measure production plan adherence, by cell, and report at SIM daily.
Liaise with Commercial teams to anticipate forthcoming orders and forecast.
Daily Stats reporting.
Active involvement in the client SIM process.
