Role: - Senior Test Development Engineer

Location: - Hertfordshire

Salary: - Competitive (DOE)

Russell-Taylor Group have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Engineer with testing and development experience to hit the ground running at a growing Electronics company within the testing department. The perfect candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of testing and development experience and have experience and understanding on CAD and hardware and software design specifications.


  • Develop & design test strategies to enable the testing of customer products
  • Design test environments- humidity, pressure, temperature, shock & vibration
  • Develop & review current LabVIEW software
  • Understand and write test and calibration documents for the companies testing equipment
  • Ensure that all testing equipment is safe to use and meets the correct specification
  • Liaise with various departments & support the test engineering when needed to help diagnose any faults
  • Recommend any new test equipment if needed to meet the needs of production
  • Test & fault find RF, digital and analogue boards
  • Interact with customer engineers to resolve any testing issues that cannot be solved internally.
  • Work alongside the drawing office and production team to ensure that test methods are accessible for any new jobs
  • Ensure that all test procedures are updated in accordance to customers and the company
  • Visit 3rd part clients as necessary to assess testing and that customers' requirements are understood and reported
  • Whilst working with existing and potential customers discuss test development strategies
  • Ensure that quality assurance procedures are followed to ISO 9001 & AS9100
  • Maintain electronic & system drawings


  • Minimum of 3 years testing & development of micro-controller systems
  • Have an understanding and experience in LabVIEW
  • Must have experience of hardware & software design specifications
  • Experience in CAD for electronic & mechanical design is a must
  • Experience in Analogue & RF development
  • Experience in C++ & PIC programing (desirable)
  • Experience of operating and programming A.T.E systems (desirable)
