What will you be doing?
• Managing cost and commercial activities across live construction projects
• Supporting projects through tender, design, delivery and close-out
• Preparing and managing tender documentation and contractor negotiations
• Monitoring budgets, forecasts and cost performance
• Managing change, variations and compensation events
• Carrying out valuations, certifying payments and agreeing final accounts
• Identifying and mitigating commercial and financial risk
• Supporting wider project controls activities where required
Where you'll be doing it
You'll be supporting large-scale infrastructure works at a major UK shipyard site in Barrow-in-Furness, working as part of an established project controls and site & facilities team delivering complex, regulated projects.
What you'll need
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on construction or engineering projects
• Strong NEC3 / NEC4 contract experience
• Background in infrastructure, construction, nuclear or heavy engineering
• Solid commercial and cost management skills
• Confident working across multiple live projects
• Strong stakeholder and communication skills
• Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent experience in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• Eligibility to work in the UK and obtain relevant clearance
