A leading international engineering and infrastructure contractor is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Energy division, supporting a major long-term National Grid infrastructure project in North London.

The Energy division specialises in large-scale Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) projects across regulated and private markets, playing a key role in both conventional power and energy transition programmes. With a substantial forward order book and long-standing framework agreements with major utility providers, this opportunity offers long-term security, technical challenge and genuine progression.

The Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of commercial activities on a major infrastructure scheme, providing leadership to the site commercial team while ensuring robust governance and financial control.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Ensuring site teams adhere to group commercial procedures and governance standards
• Managing internal commercial reporting and project performance reviews
• Preparing valuations/applications for payment with full contractual supporting documentation
• Overseeing cost reporting to the client in accordance with contract requirements
• Managing subcontract and material procurement schedules
• Administering subcontractor and supplier accounts from requisition through to final account agreement
• Leading contract administration duties, including change management and maintaining commercial registers
• Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities, including value engineering initiatives
• Ensuring accurate cost allocation and coding aligned to internal and external requirements
• Measurement of quantities in accordance with standard methods of measurement

About you:
• HND or Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, or an experienced Quantity Surveyor ready to step up
• Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts
• Experience within civil engineering, utilities, or major infrastructure projects
• RICS / ICES registered or actively working towards chartership
• Commercially astute, proactive and confident managing client and subcontractor relationships
